It’s happening—I’m officially offering wedding photography again in 2026! If you’ve been following along, you might know that I started out photographing weddings back in 2020 (right in the middle of COVID—what a time to dive in, right?). Back then, I focused on micro weddings—intimate celebrations with 60 or fewer guests—and I absolutely loved capturing those heartfelt, cozy ceremonies.
But over time, I shifted my focus to newborns, maternity, and family photography. While I’ve adored documenting those special milestones, there’s just something about weddings that I’ve really, truly missed. The emotions, the details, the once-in-a-lifetime moments—it’s all magic. And now, with the right gear in my hands and the passion still in my heart, I knew it was time to return to weddings.

Why I Took a Step Back from Weddings
If I’m being completely honest, stepping away from weddings wasn’t an easy decision—it was something I had to do for myself, my confidence, and my future couples.

In my early days as a wedding photographer, I was strictly a natural light photographer. I did my best to communicate that, but unfortunately, I had an experience where I wasn’t properly prepared for the lighting challenges of a wedding day. I missed capturing an important part of the day and, as a result, had to refund my client. Not only did I lose a client, but I also lost a great friend in the process. It was heartbreaking, and it shook my confidence in my abilities.
Weddings are one-time, once-in-a-lifetime events, and I never want to let a couple down like that again. So, instead of pushing forward before I was ready, I made the decision to step back. I spent time refining my skills, learning more about low-light photography, and investing in the right gear to ensure that I can confidently handle any lighting situation.
Now, I feel completely prepared to jump back into weddings head-on. I’m confident in my abilities, my equipment, and my approach, and I’m beyond excited to start capturing love stories again!

Why This Is Exciting for You!
One of the biggest reasons I took a step back from weddings was because I wanted to make sure I had the right tools to capture wedding days flawlessly. Weddings are fast-paced, unpredictable, and often involve tricky lighting situations. I wanted to be fully prepared to handle any venue, any moment, and any lighting challenge.
I originally shot weddings with a Canon 5D Mark II, Canon Rebel T3i, and a set of three prime lenses (35mm, 50mm, and 85mm). While those lenses created beautiful images, I wanted more versatility, speed, and low-light capability to ensure I never missed a moment.
Now, I’m shooting with a gorgeous Canon R6 mirrorless body, two high-end zoom lenses, and my trusted primes:

Canon EF 28-70mm f/2.8
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8
Canon RF 85mm f/2
Sigma Art 50mm f/1.4
These lenses allow me to adapt quickly throughout the day, from wide-angle ceremony shots to intimate portraits with dreamy, creamy backgrounds. I’ve also added lighting to my kit, which means I can confidently capture receptions, dimly lit venues, and golden-hour portraits with beautifully balanced lighting.
For couples, this means flawless images in any lighting situation, a beautiful mix of crisp details and soft, romantic backgrounds, and a photographer who is fully equipped to handle anything your wedding day brings.
